Advancing women’s sport through science & Practice

I’m Sam - a former strength and conditioning coach and applied sport scientist turned researcher. Frustrated with the lack of evidence-based research for coaches working in women’s sport and having no research skills to my name, I returned to graduate school to pursue my PhD and help bridge the gap between research and practice. Today, my work sits at the intersection of combining lab-based methods for field-based outcomes, investigating applied sport science research questions through the lens of female physiology.
